My vanilla friend thought of me when he saw this little item at an antique shop. I can’t imagine why?
It appears to have been well used although it’s clearly a novelty paddle much like the “cute little deer with the bear behind” type paddles. I love some of the listed reasons for a few swats – winning wagers and smart teenagers, noisy guests and swatting pests (the human kind). But others … mice and ants? Ick ick ick. Not with my paddle you don’t.
Oh God. I do hope that’s just a spilled drink that made stain.
On the topic of vintage finds, I recently had the pleasure of reviewing Bob Sacamano’s lastest book, The OTK Gazette. It’s a collection of spanking stories and true accounts of punishment from newspaper articles spanning well over 100 years. Lots to send a true spanko’s imagination into overdrive conjuring images of yesteryear. You definitely won’t read stories quite like these in today’s papers, I can assure you that!
